The manufacturing process for steel towers primarily encompasses core stages such as lofting, component fabrication, trial assembly, and galvanization, thereby ensuring both structural integrity and corrosion resistance.

1. Lofting

Specialized software is utilized to create a digital simulation of the tower blueprints, facilitating the detailed engineering of the steel structure. This process generates a comprehensive bill of materials, a bolt schedule, and detailed fabrication drawings, providing a precise foundation for subsequent production.

2. Component Fabrication

Cutting: Laser or plasma cutting equipment is employed to cut steel materials into the required shapes and dimensions.

Hole Punching/Drilling: CNC punching machines or drill presses are used to create bolt holes at specified locations, ensuring connection precision.

Bending: Bending machines or thermal bending equipment are utilized to form structural profiles, meeting specific design curvature requirements.

Marking: Steel stamps are applied to components to imprint identification codes, enabling full-process traceability.

3. Trial Assembly:

Prior to galvanization, the first tower unit undergoes a complete trial assembly to verify structural dimensions and installation compatibility; upon confirmation of accuracy, the process proceeds to mass production.

4. Galvanization (Corrosion Protection)

The assembled tower components are immersed in a molten zinc bath at approximately 450°C for hot-dip galvanization. This process creates a zinc-iron alloy layer; the coating thickness is typically required to exceed 86 microns to ensure long-term corrosion resistance.

5. Quality Inspection

The quality control process spans the entire workflow, encompassing raw material verification, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, geometric dimension measurement, and bolt hole gauge checks. Additionally, critical components undergo load testing to ensure full compliance with technical standards.
