Materials of industrial towers

Feb 08, 2025 Leave a message

The main materials of industrial towers include steel, fiber reinforced plastics, concrete and wood. Steel is the most commonly used material, with advantages such as high strength, good plasticity and corrosion resistance. Commonly used steels include Q235 and Q345. Fiber reinforced plastics such as fiberglass and carbon fiber are suitable for towers that need to be moved frequently or in humid areas. They have the characteristics of small weight ratio, high strength and good flame retardancy. Concrete towers have the characteristics of stable performance, good durability and low cost. They are suitable for harsh environments such as the seaside and are generally assembled from prefabricated concrete blocks. In some special environments, wood can also be used as a tower material because of its good thermal insulation, high flexibility and low cost.
