The corrugated structure design makes the ring stiffness of the pipe body reach more than 150kN/m², and the compressive strength is increased by 50% compared with the traditional structure. It can bear the soil depth of 1-30 meters and the span of 0.5-15 meters.

Pain point requirements

Affected by the local climate, engineering projects on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau have always been challenging, with a short effective construction period, high engineering difficulty, and high requirements for corrugated pipe products. However, our factory was not afraid of challenges and conducted a 10-day field survey, focusing on the current pain points of customers:

1. Annual settlement of concrete culverts in permafrost regions > 15cm

2. Effective construction period is only 4 months/year

3. High salt content of snowmelt water causes steel corrosion

 

Solutions

In view of the characteristics of customer projects, our factory responded urgently and delivered goods by special vehicles for the only 4-month construction period. The entire process from production and development to special vehicle delivery was completed in just one week. The main product technologies used are as follows:

1. Low-temperature adaptive corrugated culvert, Q355ND weathering steel + double-layer nano coating (-50℃ impact energy ≥ 60J)

2. Corrugated compensation structure (longitudinal expansion ± 20cm/100m)

3. Factory prefabrication and assembly (80 meters of culvert laying completed on site in 3 days)

4. Permeable gravel base bed (to prevent frost heave and lifting)
